Integrating Security into the DNA of Your Software Lifecycle

Learn best practices from the software security masters.

The 24/7 digital economy and ever-increasing customer demands require many organizations to release apps and app updates on a near-continuous basis. When security is left to the end of the app development cycle, it is all too easy to trade it off in the pressure to get an app out the door.

It is now imperative to weave application security into every step of the development process, from design, through coding, to release and operation. In many respects, security must become part of the very DNA of software development and operations teams.

CA Technologies, a Broadcom company, commissioned Freeform Dynamics to survey nearly 1,300 senior business and IT leaders to uncover the organizations that are best able to integrate security into the app development cycle.

The research found that these “masters of software security” outperform the mainstream:

  • 2.6x more likely to have security testing keep up with frequent app updates
  • 2.4x more likely to be leveraging security to enable new business opportunities
  • 2.5x more likely to be outpacing their competitors
  • Have 50% higher profit growth and 40% higher revenue growth

Learn how you can integrate security and continuous security testing into your software development processes.
